What is Freedom?

This is what freedom means to me.  Freedom means having the right to bear arms, vote, etc.  Freedom is important to all of America, because it reminds us of the soldiers fighting for our country, our flag, and the 4th of July.
The first topic I would like to discuss is our soldiers fighting for our country and for our freedom.  In the Civil War, soldiers fought for the freedom of black Americans.  In World War I, the Europeans killed the Austrian Archduke, and America went into the War because Austria was threatening the United States.  The soldiers went in to the war to fight for our freedom.  In World War II, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and our soldiers went in to end it.
Next, I will address the American flag and its symbolism.   The 50 stars are symbols for the 50 states and the 13 stripes symbolize the 13 British American colonies.   The American flag is a symbol of hope to many people.
Finally, I will discuss the 4th of July celebration.  On July 4, 1776, the United States of America declared its independence from Britain.  On this holiday, we sit around a fire, do some fireworks, eat some food and have a fun time.  This is one of many people’s favorite holidays.
Freedom is important to all Americans because it reminds us of soldiers fighting, the 4th of July celebration, and also the flag.  America is free.
